RCA thanks outgoing Steveston MLA for service to Richmond
Richmond Citizens’ Association is saddened to lose former MLA Kelly Greene’s voice in the B.C. Legislature, but we are so glad she’ll be able to spend more time in Richmond and we have no doubt she’ll keep fighting for this city.
The provincial riding of Richmond-Steveston has been represented so incredibly well by Kelly Greene since 2020. The former RCA councillor and minister announced she won’t be seeking re-election after David Eby called a snap election.
Kelly has been fighting for Richmond since well before entering the political arena in 2017, and we’re proud to count her among former RCA councillors.
She has been a tireless fighter for schools, families, agriculture and so much more. She helped put a stop to mega-mansions on ALR and most recently she served in one of the toughest roles in government as the Minister of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness.
No matter who wins the provincial election or represents our four Richmond ridings, our RCA team will work with them to bring more provincial funding and services to Richmond, to vocally push for a replacement for the Massey Tunnel, demand more senior home funding and expanded healthcare access, and tackle the many other issues Richmondites care about.
