About Keefer Pelech
Keefer was born and raised in Richmond, and is now lucky enough to be raising his own child in the same community he has always called home. From volunteering at the Richmond Nature Park - to serving as a Director with the Richmond Food Security Society (now Urban Bounty) - Keefer has spent much of his time volunteering in the city. Now, he wants to serve the community as a Richmond city councilor.
For the past seven years, Keefer has worked for the BC Provincial Government, helping leaders tackle big challenges like safely reopening schools during COVID and expanding mental health and addiction services. Through it all, he has seen how government can be a force for good—if it works for everyday people, not just the wealthy and well-connected.
Right now, families are struggling. Everyday costs have exploded, while housing costs are out of control. We can protect and build more affordable housing, prioritize community development like child care centres, and provide services that people rely on - but we need leaders who will put people first. Keefer will be a voice for families at City Hall.
