RCA Fundraiser brings together friends and supporters to get our team elected

On Sept. 24, Richmond Citizens’ Association was honoured to welcome our friends and supporters to a dinner fundraiser at Storeys Cafe. It was a huge success. Our team raised $7,000 in one night and we are beyond grateful to everyone who contributed.

All of the funds raised will go toward electing our team of five Richmondites. The money covers the costs of lawn signs, leaflets, ads, campaign staff and much, much more.

“The thing that’s in this room is hope,” RCA candidate Tamás Revóczi said during the fundraiser. “We’re all here because we have the hope that we can make this city a better place to call home.”

Throughout the evening, we were joined by past and present mayoral candidates, union leaders, local business owners, an Olympian and a whole lot of Richmondites.

“Talk to your friends, to your family, to everyone in your life about why you came out to support us tonight,” said RCA candidate Vincent Li. “We can knock on every door in Richmond, and we’re trying, but having that explanation come from someone they trust will mean so much more.”

Our RCA team is committed to bringing the voices of Richmondites to City Hall. On Oct. 17, vote for Alton Cheung, Vincent Li, Keefer Pelech, Tamás Revóczi and Milly Yee.

We want to extend a special thank you to the team at Storeys Cafe. The night wouldn’t have been nearly as successful without them. We were served some amazing food, including sticky toffee pudding, and shared plenty of laughs with their team.
