RCA Responds to Provincial Election
David Eby called a provincial election today and RCA has a message for voters: we’re able to work with anyone who wins to make Richmond safer, more affordable and a better place to live.
We are disappointed this will impact our campaign and confuse voters, but we’ll keep doing what we have been: connecting with voters and hearing them out.
Our RCA team is not endorsing any candidates or any parties in the provincial campaign. We’re focused on Richmond, we’re focused on council and we’re focused on Oct. 17, when we’ll be marking a new era in our city.
Our team and supporters span across the political spectrum, our progressive ideas and policy platform addresses the concerns of every kind of voter. Conservatives who want to see crime addressed, Liberals worried about activities for youth, New Democrats who want families to be able to afford a home here, and Greens who want to preserve our ALR are all represented by Richmond Citizens’ Association.
So for the next few weeks you’ll see more lawn signs pop up around Richmond, you’ll see more leaflets dropped in your mailboxes. It’s going to be overwhelming. It’s going to cause problems. But when we knock at your door, we’ll be ready to answer your questions and help cut through all the other information.
On Oct. 17, vote for Alton Cheung, Vincent Li, Keefer Pelech, Tamás Revóczi and Milly Yee for Richmond City Council.
